Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a highly motivated IT Field Support Specialist to join our team in delivering advanced on-site and remote IT support. The role focuses on hardware troubleshooting, site surveys, and installation of cabling and network equipment to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for government customers.

Candidates will perform site surveys, assist with hardware procurement, and generate installation and test reports while training site personnel and maintaining telecom

Qualifications

• Minimum five days on-site presence weekly.
• Experience delivering Tier 2/3 technical support.
• Ability to document configurations and site surveys.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and 3 support for workstations, servers, printers and peripherals on-site and remotely.
• Conduct site surveys to assess configurations and requirements; produce documentation.
• Analyze hardware needs and assist with procurement and installation planning.
• Prepare site installation and test reports; assist with network upgrade projects.
• Install and configure new hardware and related cabling; support training of site personnel.
• Maintain and support fiber optics, modems, cabling and related telecom equipment.
• Follow SOPs and use ticketing systems to track issues and resolutions.
• Provide end-user connectivity support and guidance.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors and business units to drive successful outcomes.
