Job summary

MEPPI's Service Center Division is seeking a Field Service Technician - IT Cooling to support and maintain advanced IT Cooling products and electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites in the Dallas area. You will perform start-up services, preventative and remedial maintenance, field modifications, and testing to ensure peak performance of mission-critical cooling systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC, Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field with 2–5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Advanced proficiency with mechanical/electronic test equipment; ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site service: start-up, preventative/remedial maintenance, field modifications, testing of IT Cooling and electro-mechanical equipment at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and electro-mechanical systems using schematics and testing tools; perform component replacements as needed.
• Refrigeration system work including leak detection, reclamation, evacuation, and charging of R410A systems.
• Diagnose electrical and control systems to restore functionality.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, third-party partners, and end users.
• Test returned equipment to assess defects and determine readiness.
