Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician - IT Cooling to perform on-site start-up, preventive and remedial maintenance, and testing of IT cooling equipment at customer locations.

You will diagnose refrigeration and electro-mechanical systems, perform refrigerant tasks, and repair electrical controls. The role requires an Associate degree in HVAC/electrical/electronics and EPA Section 608 certification, with travel to customer sites and on-call emergency

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC, electrical, electronics fields.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Advanced proficiency with mechanical/electronic test equipment and schematics/readings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site service including start-up, preventive and remedial maintenance, field modifications, and testing of IT cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and electro-mechanical systems using schematics and testing tools.
• Perform refrigerant tasks including leak detection, reclamation, evacuation, and R410A charging.
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical/control systems to restore functionality.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, partners, and end users.
• Inspect returned equipment to determine defects and readiness.
• Support on-call emergency field service as needed.
• Maintain detailed visit and repair documentation.
• Collaborate on power equipment installation projects.
• Submit expense reports per travel policies.
