Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Change Management Engineer to design, implement, and govern ITIL-based change processes for mission-critical systems in a highly regulated federal IT environment.

You will evaluate requests, lead CAB activities, and ensure changes are approved, scheduled, implemented, and reviewed to minimize disruption while maintaining auditability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years ITIL-based ITSM experience with focus on change management.
• Strong ITIL change management knowledge and experience.
• Experience evaluating change requests and coordinating with stakeholders to minimize service disruption.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills with risk mitigation focus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change management workflows from intake to post-implementation review.
• Evaluate change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and scheduling conflicts.
• Chair or support CAB meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, track actions.
• Use ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools to log, track, and report changes with accurate records.
• Develop and maintain change management policies, templates, and communications.
• Monitor KPIs like change success rate and emergency changes; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with project, operations, and security teams to integrate change controls into release management.
• Provide training on ITIL change practices and ITSM tooling.
