Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Change Management Engineer to design and govern ITIL-aligned change processes for mission-critical federal IT systems. You will evaluate requests, assess risk, and ensure approvals, scheduling, and post-implementation review to minimize disruption.

Working with operations, cybersecurity, development, and leadership, you’ll lead CAB activities, maintain records and metrics, and drive continuous improvement of change workflows and ITSM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years in ITIL-based ITSM with at least 4 years focused on change management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL change management and compliant change reviews.
• Experience evaluating requests, coordinating stakeholders to minimize disruption.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change management workflows covering intake, impact analysis, approval, implementation, validation, and post-implementation review.
• Evaluate change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and scheduling; advise on approvals or escalations.
• Chair or support CAB meetings; prepare agendas, document decisions, track actions for complex changes.
• Use ITSM tools (ServiceNow) to log, track, and report changes with audit trails.
• Develop and maintain change policies, templates, and communications for regulated environments.
• Monitor KPIs like change success rate and emergency change volume; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with project, operations, and security teams to integrate controls into release management.
• Provide training to engineers, analysts, and managers on ITIL practices and tooling.
