Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services company, is seeking a Change Management Engineer in Charleston, WV to design, implement, and govern ITIL-aligned change processes for mission-critical systems in a regulated federal IT environment.

You will lead stakeholder coordination, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement of change workflows using ServiceNow, while ensuring auditability and compliance across release cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years in ITIL-based IT service management with change management focus.
• Comprehensive ITIL change management knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Experience evaluating change requests, coordinating stakeholders, and documenting changes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to mitigate risks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ITIL-based change management workflows covering intake, impact analysis, approvals, implementation, validation, and post-implementation review.
• Evaluate change requests for risk, priority, regulatory impact, and scheduling; escalate or approve as needed.
• Chair or support Change Advisory Board meetings; document decisions and track actions for complex changes.
• Use ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools to log, track, and report changes with audit trails.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, templates, and communications for standard methods.
• Monitor KPIs like change success rate and emergency changes to improve stability and throughput.
• Collaborate with project, operations, and security teams to integrate changes into release and config management.
• Provide training and guidance on ITIL change practices and tooling to ensure compliance.
