Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process and Tooling Engineer to lead blow molding tooling, process development, validation, and qualification across manufacturing operations. This role manages tooling projects from concept to implementation and provides technical leadership in mold manufacturing, process optimization, and equipment validation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in plastics packaging manufacturing, process engineering, tooling engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience preferred.
• Experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) tooling and vendors required.
• Experience with mold qualification, validation, process optimization, and troubleshooting required.
• PET packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting process capability studies, DOE, and statistical analysis preferred.
• Experience supporting production startup and manufacturing operations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISBM tooling projects from concept to implementation.
• Optimize molding processes to meet specifications at designed cycle times.
• Establish validated baseline processes and maintain standardized Master Process Sheets.
• Create and maintain Process of Adjustment (POA) documentation.
• Support machine startups involving new, transferred, modified, or repaired tooling and machines.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting processes, machines, tooling, quality, and productivity issues.
• Perform process capability studies, DOE, and validation testing.
• Lead investigations related to process variation, tooling performance, and customer quality concerns.
