Job summary

Conexus, a rapidly growing San Francisco company preparing for an anticipated IPO, seeks an Accounting Manager to take ownership of the multi-entity close, GL, and non-revenue accounting. You will lead a two-person team and partner with Finance on audit readiness and SEC reporting.

You will drive process improvements, automate workflows, and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while collaborating with leadership on strategic accounting initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close and GL.
• Experience in a publicly traded company environment.
• Strong operational accounting across multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and ability to evaluate accounting matters independently.
• Experience supporting external audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Experience mentoring accounting professionals.
• Experience leveraging automation, AI-enabled tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities, including consolidations.
• Oversee general ledger, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, payroll, and operating expenses.
• Support financial statement prep, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Oversee equity accounting, including stock-based compensation.
• Partner with Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting on disclosures and IPO readiness.
• Lead external audit activities and maintain audit-ready processes.
• Manage and grow a two-person accounting team.
• Collaborate with Finance and leadership to resolve accounting matters and communicate results.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close, improve controls, and implement automation.
• Help establish scalable accounting policies and reporting capabilities.
