Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger, close processes, and internal controls as we scale. This hands-on role offers ownership of core accounting functions in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience with 3+ years in corporate accounting.
• Deep US GAAP knowledge across core corporate areas.
• Experience owning reconciliations and monthly financial statements.
• Experience owning the close calendar directly, not just participating.
• Public company or audit-ready private company experience with audit exposure.
• Lean, execution-focused mindset; able to operate on a lean team.
• Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and spend management平台

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day general ledger journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly statements.
• Own close areas: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and equity compensation.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, set calendar, coordinate FP&A and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and flux analyses for leadership.
• Identify and automate manual steps that slow the close.
• Partner with auditors to keep internal controls tight and audit-ready.
