Job summary

The Docketing Analyst at Troutman Pepper Locke LLP will manage daily docket activities for patents and trademarks, ensuring accurate filing logs and timely processing of documents with USPTO and foreign agencies.

You will support IP attorneys and staff, lead audits, and maintain the docket database and PATTSY/iManage records, while upholding strict confidentiality. Five years of docketing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of US and international trademark law and its application to docket actions.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB.
• Proven ability to audit and manage biographical data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read, sort, and distribute mail from USPTO and foreign agencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate docketing, calendars, and filings across domestic/international patents and trademarks.
• Lead audits and mass updates, including bibliographic data updates.
• Provide guidance to IP attorneys and staff on complex docket issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of client information and documents.
