Job summary

Stripe Identity is seeking an iOS engineer to design, build, and maintain mobile SDKs and verification experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native. You will create intuitive flows for identity-document and selfie capture while ensuring accessibility, device capabilities, and scalable APIs for developers.

You will work with product, design, ML, backend teams and field engineers to deliver secure, performant identity verification features in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, including shipping mobile apps or SDKs.
• Experience developing for iOS using Swift or Objective-C.
• Strong fundamentals in software design and maintainable APIs/SDKs.
• Experience delivering mobile functionality beyond a single UI layer (APIs, state, device capabilities).
• Experience in testing, debugging, monitoring, and improving mobile software in production.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, design, and other partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Stripe Identity’s mobile SDKs and verification experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native.
• Create intuitive and accessible experiences for identity-document and selfie capture flows.
• Build reliable APIs and reusable components to simplify Stripe Identity integration for developers.
• Work across mobile clients and supporting services to deliver features end to end.
• Improve SDK performance, reliability, observability, testing, and release processes.
• Make architectural decisions balancing user experience, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with product managers, designers, ML engineers, backend engineers, and other teams.
• Incorporate feedback from users and field teams to improve product and platform.
