Job summary

Stripe Identity team is seeking an Android engineer to design, build, and maintain mobile SDKs and verification experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native. You will create intuitive flows for identity verification, considering accessibility and device capabilities, while delivering reliable APIs and reusable components for developer integration.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software-development experience.
Experience developing for at least one major mobile platform using Kotlin or Java.
Strong software-design fundamentals and experience creating maintainable APIs, components, or frameworks.
Experience delivering mobile functionality beyond an isolated UI layer, e.g., API integration and device capabilities.
Experience testing, monitoring, and improving mobile software in production.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Stripe Identity’s mobile SDKs across iOS, Android, and React Native.
Create intuitive, polished experiences for identity verification flows.
Build reliable APIs and reusable components for developers using Stripe Identity.
Collaborate with product, design, ML, backend, and other mobile teams to ship features end-to-end.
Improve performance, reliability, observability, and release processes for the SDKs.
