Job summary

Stripe Identity team is seeking an Android engineer to design, build, and maintain mobile SDKs and verification experiences for Android and cross-platform use. You will craft intuitive, accessible flows and reusable APIs for developers integrating Stripe Identity into apps.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, ML engineers, and backend teams to deliver features end-to-end, improve reliability, and ensure security and privacy in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development, shipping mobile apps or SDKs.
• Experience on at least one major mobile platform using Kotlin or Java.
• Strong software-design fundamentals and maintainable APIs.
• Experience delivering mobile functionality beyond a UI layer, integrating with APIs/services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Stripe Identity mobile SDKs and verification experiences across iOS, Android, and React Native.
• Create intuitive, polished experiences for identity flows including document and selfie capture.
• Build reusable SDK APIs and components for easy integration by developers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
