Job Summary

We are seeking an Inventory Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Waltham, MA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented inventory, stockroom, or warehouse professional who enjoys hands-on work, accurate order fulfillment, and supporting smooth daily operations.

The Inventory Technician will help ensure materials, parts, and finished goods are picked, staged, received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. This position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, a collaborative warehouse environment, and the opportunity to grow with a team that values safety, organization, reliability, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and stage parts and materials accurately according to work orders, pick lists, and FIFO inventory practices.
• Receive finished goods into inventory and safely transport, store, and handle materials to prevent damage.
• Move materials between warehouse areas and designated locations to support production, shipping, and operational needs.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation, then package materials securely for shipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and promptly report shortages, discrepancies, quality concerns, or other issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company procedures and safety guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $23 to $24 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
• Location: Waltham, MA.
• For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 to 2 years of stockroom, warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory transactions, work orders, pick lists, and FIFO practices is helpful.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, lift, move, and handle materials as part of daily responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and reliability.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned daily tasks and special projects.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and maintaining an organized work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a stockroom environment with inventory transactions.
• Familiarity with picking, staging, receiving, shipping, and material movement processes.
• Experience supporting on-time customer order fulfillment in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control setting.
