Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to manage Direct Store Delivery and maintain accurate stock levels.

You will walk the store daily, scan items, identify shortages or overages, and collaborate with order writers, night crews, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to ensure inventory accuracy and promotional execution. You will monitor donations, manage grocery inventories, and keep the backroom secure and organized.

Qualifications

• Experience receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail/grocery environments.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel; familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, stocked, and accounted for.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions; coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
• Communicate with Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution; monitor donations and backroom inventory; maintain a clean, secure backroom.
