Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, accounted for, and stocked accurately.

You will walk the store daily to scan items, identify shortages or overages, and work with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to maintain inventory integrity. You will communicate with the Store Director to support accurate promotions and ensure a secure,

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery environments.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in backroom and receiving areas.
• Good problem-solving skills to resolve inventory and delivery issues.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, store management, and colleagues.
• Ability to lift/carry 5-50 lbs, push/pull 10-50 lbs, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Commitment to providing a positive customer experience through accurate inventory and store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories; maintain a secure backroom.
