Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is hiring a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations. You will ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked, walking the store daily to scan items, and identifying out-of-stock or overstock conditions.

You will partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You will communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution, monitor

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in a retail/grocery setting.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
• Capable of independent decision-making and resolving inventory/delivery issues.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, delivery drivers, store management and associates.
• Lift/carry 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support promotional execution with Store Director.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Keep backroom secure, clean, and organized to support store readiness.
