Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee all DSD operations, ensuring accurate receiving, counting, and stocking of merchandise.

You will walk the store daily, scan DSD items, and address out-of-stock or overstock conditions while collaborating with order writers, night crews, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to safeguard inventory integrity. Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery environment.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom cleanliness, security, and order.
• Good communication with vendors, drivers, store management, and fellow associates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked accurately.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crews, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to support inventory integrity.
• Communicate regularly with the Store Director to assist with inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories; maintain a secure, clean backroom environment.
