Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee DSD operations, ensuring merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.

You’ll walk the store daily to scan DSD items, flag out-of-stock or overstock, and collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You will communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotions, monitor donations, manage grocery and non-perishable inventories, and

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery setting.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel, plus familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backrooms and receiving areas.
• Proven problem-solving ability to resolve inventory and delivery issues.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, store management and teammates.
• Ability to lift 5–50 lbs, push/pull 10–50 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Customer-focused mindset to uphold accurate inventory and store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean and organized backroom environment.
