Job summary

RJW Logistics in Plainfield, IL is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee stockroom and warehouse inventory. The role requires coordinating cycle counts, ensuring accuracy, and directing inbound teams.

Excellent organizational and reporting skills are needed to maintain stock levels and timely inventories. The position offers a Wednesday–Saturday shift (5:00 AM–3:30 PM) with a compensation range of $65,000–$70,000 annually and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience in Inventory Control.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience in warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
• Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
• Working knowledge of Inventory Control practices; KPI reporting, Coordinating Cycle Count programs, Product rotation.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.

Responsibilities

• Maintains layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors in items stored.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Prepares composite reports from individual reports of Inventory Specialists.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Issue written / oral instructions and expedites workflow with team members.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Oversees inbound associates in their daily tasks and job responsibilities.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
