RJW Logistics Group in Illinois is seeking an Inventory Control Lead who will supervise and coordinate activities for inventorying materials, tools, and parts in stockrooms, warehouses, or yards. Shift: Tuesday through Friday-5:00am-3:30pm.

The role emphasizes maintaining stock layout, reviewing records for accuracy, scheduling inventories, and reporting on stock levels while guiding a team and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience in warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
• Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
• Working knowledge of Inventory Control practices; KPI reporting, Coordinating Cycle Count programs, Product rotation.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

Responsibilities

• Maintains layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors in items stored.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Prepares composite reports from individual reports of Inventory Specialists.
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Issue written / oral instructions and expedites workflow with team members.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Travel requirement to assist other facilities and having reliable transportation.
