Job summary

Tractor Supply in Abilene, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to help manage receiving accuracy, inventory adjustments, and compliance routines that support store operations. The role involves processing POs, transfers, and freight while coordinating with the Store Operations Manager to maintain accurate stock and safe operations.

You will help with OBIS/OMNI reconciliation, forklift operation, and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.

• Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors through Customer engagement and coaching.
• Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, Bulk Center freight, and DC receiving transfers.
• Stock and tag freight, and create Fill to Capacity picklists for the Freight Team.
• Operate forklift and other equipment as needed and assist customers loading purchases.
