Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support store operations by managing receiving accuracy, inventory adjustments, and compliance processes. The role partners with the Store Operations Manager to execute freight, transfers, buybacks, RTVs, and reporting.

The position requires flexibility in shifts, forklift operation, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, reading, writing, and counting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA (Greet, Uncover needs, Recommend, Add value).
• Perform forklift and propane inspections as required.
• Pull OMNI orders and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation.
• Complete BOPIS and other reconciliation reports per company standards.
• Receive Direct POs and various freight transfers; execute truck unloads.
• Stock and tag freight and direct vendor items; create fill-to-capacity picklists.
• Record inventory adjustments and resolve discrepancies per process.
• Review Negative On Hand, buybacks, RTVs; follow assigned tasks.
• Document all duties accurately; obtain required licenses/certifications as needed.
