Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Des Moines, WA is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to receive deliveries, log them into the system and verify invoices. You will help manage inventory, ensure accuracy, and cooperate with vendors and the DSD coordinator to minimize shrink and errors.

Responsibilities include auditing contents, processing differences, maintaining secure receiving areas, and operating equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and price guns.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous, and able to communicate with customers and vendors.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and operate hand trucks, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Knowledge of receiving, inventory control and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service programs to meet or exceed goals and supports Albertson's philosophy of personalized service.
• Receives deliveries, logs into the computer, breaks down loads and may move products to storage, freezer, cooler or sales area.
• Verifies orders against invoices, audits contents, and uses the receiving system to verify costs; reconciles vendor invoices and balances receiving data for payment.
• Maintains security, sanitation and organization of receiving, storage and loading dock areas; performs safety and related duties; ensures compliance with company policies.
