Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate receiving, and support store operations. The role involves periodic reconciliation, transfers, buybacks/RTV, and compliance reporting while partnering with the Store Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include daily forklift and propane checks, OMNI order processing, and meaningful participation in inventory control and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors through Customer engagement and teamwork.
• Complete forklift and propane inspections and key propane use as required.
• Pull OMNI orders in the morning and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation routines.
• Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, Bulk Center freight, and DC receiving transfers.
• Stock and tag direct vendor freight, front/sidelot DC freight, and leather footwear according to process standards.
• Create Fill to Capacity picklists for the Freight Team as assigned.
• Key inventory adjustments and correct or adjust inventory discrepancies according to company process.
• Review Negative On Hand Report and execute required follow-up.
• Review and execute buybacks and RTV processes.
• Partner with the Store Operations Manager on inventory control, compliance, receiving standards, and process follow-up.
