Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Interventionist Teacher to support 3rd–8th grade students in reading and/or math gaps, with Kinder–2nd grade opportunities based on campus needs. This grant-funded role focuses on targeted instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff.

You will implement district standards and IDEA curricula, deliver scheduled lesson plans, and track progress weekly.

Qualifications

• High level content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI instruction in small groups for 3rd–8th grade students at risk in reading and/or math.
• Teach small groups in Kinder–2nd grade depending on campus assignment.
• Teach 9th–12th grade depending on campus assignment.
• Work closely with general education teachers to coordinate support.
• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Establish and maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed and participate in weekly manager check-ins.
