Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Interventionist Teacher to work with small groups of students to close reading and math gaps, with a focus on grades 3–8. This grant-funded role under Title I Part A emphasizes data-driven instruction, regular progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff.

The position offers a starting salary of $59,500 plus stipends based on certifications and campus leadership, with additional performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.
• High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA.

Responsibilities

• Teach intervention to small groups in 3rd-8th grade to address reading/mathematics gaps.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to coordinate support.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress to students and families on a weekly basis.
• Lead after-school tutoring or Saturday sessions as needed.
• Participate in weekly meetings and school-wide duties; work 40+ hours per week.
