Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida is seeking an Interventionist Teacher to lead Critical Student Intervention (CSI) in small groups for reading and math, aiming to close 2-year gaps within the school year. You will collaborate with general education teachers, implement state standards and IDEA curricula, and regularly monitor each student’s progress to inform instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution required.
• Holding or willing to pursue Florida educator certification required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Math/ELA content and ability to pass a content assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI small groups for reading and/or math to close gaps.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to align interventions.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade-level objectives with fidelity.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families weekly.
• Use technology to support instruction and organization.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and community.
