Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Scheduling Specialist 2 to schedule complex procedures, including interventional radiology, under general supervision. You will validate history, obtain physical, outside images, and complex orders, and capture patient demographic and insurance information.

You will also coordinate with radiology teams and other departments, ensuring accuracy, in-network verification, and timely communication with patients and providers to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 3 years in scheduling or healthcare setting.
• Strong data entry and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate multiple appointments and tests, including complex procedures.
• Validate patient demographics and insurance information; verify in-network coverage.
• Contact patients/providers to arrange interventional radiology procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other providers.
• Coordinate with day surgery, pathology, anesthesia and other departments.
• Monitor orders to ensure proper routing and timely scheduling.
