UC San Diego Health is seeking an organized scheduling assistant to coordinate IR clinic visits and procedures across UC San Diego Hillcrest, Jacobs Medical Center, and other sites. You will handle scheduling, registration, and patient communications, using Epic modules to manage templates and documentation.

The role requires effective customer service, familiarity with medical terminology in IR, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure timely access to care.

Qualifikationen

• Three (3) years of experience scheduling IR procedures or similar multi-specialty coordination.
• Knowledge of third-party payors, federal/state/private health plans.
• Experience handling multi-line calls and online registration.
• Experience scheduling IR procedures and clinic consultations.
• Understanding of medical terminology with emphasis in Interventional Radiology.
• Experience in a large healthcare setting with excellent customer service.

Aufgaben

• Provide scheduling, registration, and admin support for IR visits and procedures.
• Schedule appointments across physicians and service lines; manage templates.
• Use Epic Optime and Radiant to schedule, update, and document patient visits.
• Screen calls, verify demographics/insurance, and advise on deposits and referrals.
• Coordinate scheduling with clinical teams and other departments to ensure access.
