Qualifications

• Three (3) years of related scheduling experience in Interventional Radiology or multi-specialty scheduling.
• Knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.
• Proven ability to handle multi-line incoming calls, schedule appointments, and perform online registration.
• Experience in scheduling IR procedures and clinic consultations.
• Must understand Medical Terminology with emphasis in Interventional Radiology.
• Knowledge of Interventional procedures.
• Experience in a large healthcare setting with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule clinic appointments and interventional procedures for multiple physicians and APPs across sites.
• Manage scheduling templates and use Epic Optime and Radiant to schedule, update, and document appointments and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, APPs, nurses, clinic staff, and internal/external contacts.
• Screen patients by telephone and collect demographic, financial, and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain referrals/authorizations and inform patients of deposit requirements as applicable.
• Serve as liaison between patients, clinical teams, financial clearance, and other departments to ensure timely access and scheduling.
