Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and documenting medications and radiation exposure.

You will perform vascular lab exams, prepare patients, review orders, and use the EMR to document findings while upholding safety, confidentiality, and Mercy Health's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT or CCI is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support required; ACLS preferred.
• State licensure preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular lab examinations using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment.
• Prepares patients for procedures, explaining the procedure and providing instructions to minimize anxiety.
• Contacts referring physician for clarification prior to exams if order may be incorrect.
• Uses the EMR to review patient information, enter preliminary reporting, and document findings.
• Completes tasks in a timely manner while adhering to safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of vascular anatomy and exam interpretation; performs non-invasive vascular exams.
