Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown seeks a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and documenting activities in accordance with policies. Qualifications

• ARRT certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) eligibility is required
• BLS certification required/preferred before direct patient care
• ACLS certification preferred
• Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography or Vascular-Interventional Radiology RT credentials preferred
• State licensure preferred where applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to obtain cooperation and minimize anxiety
• Review patient information in the EMR and document preliminary findings
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies
• Demonstrate knowledge of vascular anatomy and exam procedures and correlate results with other hospital procedures
