Job summary

The International Patient Coordinator at Mayo Clinic coordinates care for embassy-sponsored international patients, working with Sponsors and international centers to ensure services align with Letters of Guarantee.

You will interact daily with Sponsoring Agents, patients, Mayo staff, and referral partners to schedule and optimize care. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience and strong language and customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, ideally in the medical field.
  • Spanish language skills strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Very strong customer service skills and a proven ability to expeditiously resolve problems.
  • Must be flexible and able to respond to changing priorities and varying workloads.
  • Knowledge of cultural backgrounds of patients to be served.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care for embassy-sponsored international patients.
  • Interact daily with Sponsoring Agents, international patients, Mayo staff to coordinate services.
  • Assist in obtaining authorization of services not covered by the Letter of Guarantee.
  • Provide status updates to Sponsoring Agents and ensure alignment with Mayo processes.
  • Work in a fast-paced, diverse environment and cover other International Office assignments as needed.
