Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests in the exam room at our Wellesley, MA location. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, and ensure pre-visit testing and EMR data are accurate and up to date.

The role offers a full-time schedule with varied shift options. Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, managing patient flow, and communicating preparation requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC) or Medical Assistant Certification.
• Computer knowledge and aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms according to policy and procedures.
• Prepare patient for examination: measures vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, weight, height).
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department.
• Advise patients of preparation or pre-visit testing required for exams.
• Ensure EMR is updated with medical information and demographics; verify accuracy of data.
