Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Johnstown, PA. Interns will work with multi-disciplinary teams, gaining hands-on experience in building systems design and real-world projects.

You'll develop skills using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 and other tools, while collaborating with senior engineers and networking with industry professionals to advance your education and career.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Electrical or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Coursework relevant to building systems (power distribution; lighting).
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interest in learning building systems design and construction.
• Prior internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical system design tasks.
• Learn principles of electrical system design focused on power distribution, lighting, telecom and security.
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Become proficient with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites and assist with surveys.

We are seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to work in our headquarter office in Johnstown, PA. • Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.

• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.

What You'll Need:

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Academic coursework that is relevant to building systems (power distribution; lighting) is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
