Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company in Lancaster, PA invites Electrical Engineering students for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. You'll gain hands-on experience in building systems design within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Academic coursework relevant to building systems (power distribution; lighting).
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interest in learning building systems design and construction.
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of electrical system design tasks.
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design, focused in power distribution, lighting systems, telecom and security systems.
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.
