Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Conneaut, OH. This program provides hands-on, real-world experience to enhance students’ education and professional skills.

You’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams, gain experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 and other software, and travel to project sites for surveys while supporting electrical system design tasks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with basic software: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Academic coursework related to building systems (power distribution, lighting) preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
• Interest in learning building systems design and construction.
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical system design tasks.
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design (power distribution, lighting, telecom, security).
• Work with design team and apply engineering design concepts.
• Become proficient with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites for existing condition surveys.

We are seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to work in our headquarter office in Conneaut, OH.Our summer internship program at HFL cultivates future engineering professionals, looking to gain hands-one, real-world experience to enhance their education and professional skills. Requirements/Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.

What You’ll Need:

• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
