Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company in Conneaut, OH is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for its 2027 Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience in building systems design and multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Interns will work with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 and other software, support design tasks, travel to project sites, and interact with senior engineers in a collaborative environment. Casual dress and flexible hours are offered during this summer program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Electrical or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D modeling with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks related to electrical system design.
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design, focused in power distribution, lighting systems, telecom and security systems.
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.

Requirements/Responsibilities

• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
