USCG Community Services Command in Yorktown, VA is seeking a Cook-05 INT to prepare and cook a variety of menu items and manage kitchen duties. The position operates intermittently (0-19 hours/week) with a pay rate of $21.03 per hour.

Responsibilities include handling food preparation, safety, inventory rotation, and bar-related duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications cover food prep experience and the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.

Competenze

• Experience in methods and procedures relating to food preparation and following recipes.
• Experience following oral and written instructions and performing simple arithmetic.
• Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Preferred: 1+ year as a cook in food preparation in grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar.

Mansioni

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including hamburgers, sandwiches, eggs, and salads.
• Operate kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and rotate inventories; store and cover items correctly.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen areas and utensils; practice a "clean as you go" mindset.
• May assist with bar duties and inventory tasks as needed.
