Job summary

Five Below, Inc. in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an Interim Support Lead to provide an outstanding shopping experience. You will report to the Store Manager and assist with front-end operations, cash handling, merchandising, safety, and achieving daily sales goals.

This temporary role includes acting as Manager on Duty, training crew on the BEST customer service, opening/closing the store, and partnering with the leadership team on merchandising to deliver a WOW customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience for fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure excellent service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking of new merchandise.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed and manage store operations.
• Open/close the store, secure cash, lock doors, and set alarms.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Collaborate with store leadership on merchandising procedures.
• Perform store maintenance tasks like cleaning and stock room upkeep.
