Job summary

Five Below is seeking an Interim Support Lead to ensure an exceptional shopping experience. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will assist with front end operations, cash management, merchandising, safety, and daily team leadership.

The role includes acting as Manager on Duty during shifts, training crew, opening/closing the store, and supporting onboarding. The position is a temporary, hourly opportunity designed to build leadership experience during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows the customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed and take full responsibility for store operations and staff.
• Open/close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, and ensure smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Education
