Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management seeks a Special Operations Manager to temporarily lead hotel operations during transitions, vacancies, or turnarounds. You will oversee all property operations, drive guest satisfaction, and stabilize teams during assignments.

This field-based role requires travel up to 90%, strong leadership, and knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, Wage & Hour laws. A High School diploma is required; a college degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of General Manager experience.
• Experience managing a single-unit operation in hospitality, service, restaurants, or retail.
• Familiar with local, state, and federal employment laws and HR basics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Clear written and verbal communication in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned properties ensuring service excellence, safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and resolve service issues to maintain high satisfaction.
• Conduct curb-to-room property walks to assess maintenance, housekeeping, and front desk performance.
• Recruit, train, and lead property staff during assignments.
• Maintain payroll and other staffing documents; ensure proper hiring paperwork.
• Review financials, monitor revenue, and manage expenses within budget.
