Job summary

The Nutrition Group is hiring a Cook for a local K-12 School Cafeteria. This role involves cooking, food prep, sanitation, and daily kitchen operations in a structured, daylight schedule.

You will work Monday through Friday with holidays off, no evenings or weekends, and participate in our 401(k) and PTO programs. Prior food service experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• Food Service Experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to do basic math and read recipes.
• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Cook food and prepare meals for the K-12 school cafeteria.
• Maintain food preparation and sanitation standards.
• Place food orders and assist with inventory.
• Ensure HACCP and health department regulations are followed.
• Monitor costs and inventory controls and handle accounting basics.
• Communicate with school district officials and staff.
• Cash handling and cashier duties as assigned.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with orders and inventory management.
