Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline BIM coordination on transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked deliverable.

You will drive standards, governance, and mentor staff across offices, ensuring model health, data handoff, and client/interface quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — Serves as the firm’s Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects, coordinating deliverables across architecture, vertical structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — Runs clash detection in Navisworks and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — Establishes, documents, and enforces CADD/BIM standards across offices.
• Mentorship & guidance — Provides modeling staff with design sketches and guidance; mentors production staff across offices.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff standards.
