Job summary

Acadia Healthcare seeks an Intake Specialist in San Rafael, CA to manage the intake process for new clients. You will liaise with admissions, conduct initial assessments, review belongings for prohibited items, orient clients to the facility, and ensure all documents are completed accurately.

You will coordinate with clinical and care teams, schedule assessments, and provide exceptional customer service while complying with confidentiality and facility policies.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in patient care/behavioral health setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to use required computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address questions, concerns, etc.
• Coordinate facility tours with clients and families who are potential admissions.

• Ensure intake paperwork is completed timely and documentation is maintained as required.
• May discuss client’s financial responsibility and take payment as applicable.
• Provides exceptional customer service in line with Acadia Healthcare standards.

Ensures required documentation/paperwork iscompleted and maintained.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1 – 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting, ispreferred.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and an ability to use requiredcomputer programs.

Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid DL.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• De-escalation training, CPR and/or First-Aid certification as required by facility

Rate of Pay $25.00-$31.20
