Job summary

The Cigna Group's CarepathRx division seeks an Intake Care Representative to guide patients through the intake process, coordinate referrals, and support care coordination. You will handle inquiries from patients and providers with a focus on accuracy and patient experience.

Hours are Monday–Friday 9am–6pm EST with rotating shifts; some weekend coverage. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare/medical reception or related experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for patients, responding to calls and providing professional support throughout the intake process.
• Help patients understand next steps, gather information, and connect them with care teams.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound communication with patients, providers, hospitals, and offices regarding referrals and care coordination.
• Assist onboarding by collecting and entering referral information accurately.
• Triage and route referrals, orders, and documentation to appropriate teams.
• Coordinate home health services based on patient needs and insurance requirements.
• Verify treatment timelines including first dose and home infusion scheduling.
