Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360 seeks an Intake Coordinator I to perform initial assessments, complete ASAM evaluations, and coordinate urgent medical and mental health referrals. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize new clients and ensure a warm hand off to treatment, addressing immediate needs within a trauma‑informed framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services.
• Registration or Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from an accredited California agency (CCAPP, CAADE, CADTP).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• At least one year of experience in the substance abuse treatment field.
• Experience with Medi-Cal procedures and ASAM Criteria is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and intake evaluation for formulation of treatment plan.
• Consult with staff to ensure safe admission to appropriate level of treatment.
• Provide case management services (housing, employment, finance management, court reports, DCFS communication).
• Identify and implement relapse prevention or harm reduction interventions.
• Provide group, family, and individual counseling.
• Facilitate group sessions focused on recovery, trauma, co-occurring mental health symptoms, and personal change.
