Job summary

Farmers District 40 & 94 in Michigan is seeking an Agent in Training to connect with customers, assess coverage needs, and grow a sales career within a supportive agency environment.

You will receive training, mentorship, and resources to build your insurance knowledge, with opportunities for leadership and potential pathway toward agency ownership as you meet targets. Base salary plus uncapped commissions and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• At least one year of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Comfort with outbound calls, prospecting, and customer-facing sales conversations.
• License preferred or willingness to obtain license.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through prospecting, outreach, and lead generation.
• Consult with customers to assess insurance needs.
• Sell Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial coverage.
• Build lasting client relationships with responsive service.
• Meet individual sales targets and support agency growth.
• Follow up on quotes and existing clients to uncover opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of products, compliance, and CRM usage.
• Participate in meetings, training, and strategy sessions.
