Farmers Insurance is seeking an entrepreneurial Agent in Training in Michigan to gain hands-on experience in sales, client relationships, and agency operations while preparing to lead or own an agency in the future.

The role offers paid training, a base salary after training, plus commission and bonuses, and remote work potential. Licenses are required or a pre-licensing path is provided. A growth-focused career is emphasized within the Farmers system.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Property & Casualty, Life, Accident & Health licenses or willingness to obtain them
• Willing to complete free pre-licensing education
• Strong interest in sales and building a book of business
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound and outbound sales activities via phone, text, email, and virtual outreach
• Conduct cold and warm calling to prospective customers and referral sources
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and walk-in prospects to identify coverage needs and close opportunities
• Build community relationships through local events and partnerships to create referrals
• Meet with customers in person, by phone, or virtually to review coverage and provide tailored solutions
• Educate clients on coverage options and risk protection strategies
• Provide high-level service by handling policy changes, renewals, and claims support
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow the book of business
• Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM systems
• Stay current on Farmers products and promotions to present competitive solutions
• Support agency growth by meeting production and activity targets
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and share best practices
